My sister sent a CD with a bunch of pictures of my nephew, while looking through these I found a lot of lovely high Sierra Mountain meadows, photos of flowers and one AEWSOME bettle. Look at this lovely guy. It looks like a great inspiration for beads, very dichro looking. I'm not sure if my sister or her boyfriend photographed this bettle, so I can't give credit, but thanks guys.
I have done some Google searches and I think this is a Jewel Beetle called: Cypriacis splendens (Buprestidae). If you know if it is different let me know.
