Bead Soup Party Blog - Bead Soup arrives

I am participating in the 6th Bead Soup Party Blog hosted on by Lori Anderson. What is a Bead Soup Party Blog? Each participant is paired up with another person, beads are sent to each other and we make some jewelry. The only rules are you have to use the focal and the clasp. This time there are 400 participants and 3 weekend reveal dates. My date to post my piece is August 25th, I just knew I couldn't finish this before the ISGB Gathering (convention).

My partner is Lynn Davis. She makes handcast pewter. This focal has a loop at the top and hole at the bottom for dangles or charms. The center is resin I believe.  She also sent some other pewter pieces (these are going to be fun to design with), some sontes (any help on the type of stone would be great) and some pink beads (I think they are plastic).

Challenges for me?? I don't mix metals a lot and the clasp and the focal are different colors. EEEK, how to get them to blend in the same piece? This will force me out of the box and this is good. :)

Check out Lynn's BLOG and ETSY shop.

The red rounds in front look like coral to me, around to the left in back some kind of jasper maybe. Probably not much help, have fun with your soup!

Elena and Annalisa, what is this about my creations in a magazine?

Lara, the costume pearls are acrylic, and they are hand-dyed by me to resemble the vintage costume pearls!
The red round stones are cherry coral and the others are picture jasper rounds. I hope you enjoy working with them!
I love the ones you sent me, too! Lovely!

Oh, and the long drop bead is green jade.
