Botanical Gardens

This weekend my sister and her son were up visiting. We went to the Botanical Gardens in Bellevue Washington. It has a great collections of ferns, trees, flowers, a Japanese Garden and a native garden. This purple flower was my favorite one there, it is a Pasque Flower.

This cool leaf bud looked so cool. I have made it black and white just for fun. It is a very pretty sage green color. The texture is amazing. I suspect this is a Magnolia, but I'm not sure.

These daffodils were really pretty. I have done a sepia treatment on the photos and it turned out really neat. I like the little bit of yellow showing through the sepia treatment. I'm thinking of printed this one for my house.

My nephew learning about Rhododendrons. Colin really loved being at the gardens and was so intrigued by everything.

This just about to blossum cherry tree had some great pink colors.
This snowdrop plan has just beautiful little blossoms. I like the green tip ends of the petals.

I love botanical gardens, especially ones with cute babies in it. I think both wonders of nature compliment each other beautifully.
